Meet Your Doula

Professional Background
Before stepping into the sacred space of birth work, I spent over 12 years in the medical field. My journey began at the University of New Mexico, where I earned my BA in Communications and Chemistry while completing pre-med courses. From there, I served as a medic in the U.S. Army, where I obtained my NREMT certification and training in neonatal emergency care.

After my time in service, I transitioned into the civilian medical field, working as a medical assistant in multiple surgical specialties — from orthopedics to cardiology. These years gave me a deep respect for the human body, the power of skilled care, and the importance of compassion in every interaction.

Yet, even with all my experience, I felt the Spirit leading me toward something more personal, more life-giving — and that calling was birth work. I trained with New Beginnings Doula Training and now serve families as a certified doula, drawing from both my medical background and my faith.

I am currently certified in CPR, HIPAA, and CLASI, and I carry my skills into every birth with the belief that this work is not just a profession, but a ministry. Each birth I attend is a reminder that life flows from the Source — and it is my honor to walk alongside families as they welcome it.

Our Approach

  • Faith-Centered Care — I am a Full Bible believing doula. My goal is to honor Yahuah as the ultimate Creator of life, and we seek to support you in ways that reflect His love and peace.

  • Personalized Support — Every birth is different. We tailor your care plan to your wishes, health needs, and family dynamics.

  • Holistic Resources — From birth planning and comfort measures to postpartum recovery and newborn support, we guide you through every stage.

What’s in the Name?

One Thousand Waters is inspired by Ezekiel 47 — a vision of life flowing from the Source, bringing healing and renewal. We believe birth is one of the most profound expressions of that life, and it’s our joy to help you welcome it with confidence and peace.

Birth and Post Partum Doula

Personal Background

I have a heart for natural birth and view pregnancy and labor as a healthy, sacred, and joyful part of a mother’s life. Birth is not something to be feared, but something to be supported with peace and care.

Through the blessing of carrying and birthing my own children—including both birth center and home births—I have grown deeply in my understanding of motherhood. Each child is uniquely created, and each journey has shaped my compassion and perspective.

I am a full Bible-believing woman who seeks to honor Yah in all that I do. One Thousand Waters is not a business, but a ministry. My desire is to walk alongside mothers during one of the most vulnerable and powerful moments of their lives; offering support, presence, and encouragement rooted in faith.

I humbly recognize that growth in motherhood is ongoing, and I approach each opportunity to serve with an open heart. For this reason, I prayerfully accept a limited number of applicants, seeking to serve those I am led to walk alongside.

Jeremiah 1:5
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I set you apart."

Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

We offer holistic birth and postpartum care — combining personalized doula support, a calm and nurturing environment, and practical education to guide you and your support team confidently through labor and beyond.

How can I prepare?

Preparing for birth means more than just packing a bag — it’s about creating a calm, supportive space and feeling confident in your plan. Together, we’ll gather comfort items, talk through your birth preferences, and explore ways to make you and your support team feel ready for the big day.

Availability & Commitment

To provide intentional and attentive support, I accept a limited number of families at a time. This allows me to be fully present and serve each mother with care, focus, and prayer.

One Thousand Waters operates as a ministry, and there is no upfront cost to begin. However, because each spot is limited, accepting a position means reserving time that could have been given to another mother in need.

  • Commitment to Your Spot: Once you are accepted, your place is held specifically for you. I ask that this is honored with sincerity and intention.

  • Cancellations: If you choose to step away after being accepted, I simply ask that you do so as early as possible. Late cancellations may prevent another mother from receiving support during that time.

  • Preterm Labor: If your baby arrives earlier than expected, I will make every effort to attend your birth as I am able. My heart is to serve you faithfully regardless of timing.

This approach allows me to remain ministry-focused while also honoring the time, preparation, and care given to each family.

How can I Apply?

To begin, please fill out the intake form so I can learn more about you, your pregnancy, and the kind of support you’re seeking.

Because I accept a limited number of families at a time, availability is not guaranteed. If I have an opening and feel led to move forward, I will reach out and send you a full application with next steps.

This process allows me to prayerfully consider each request and ensure I am able to serve each mother with intention and care.
